Easter Egg Hunts Scheduled in Brookville, PA

The Easter bunny will be busy in Brookville over the next couple of weeks with at least four Easter egg hunts scheduled. The first hunt is schedules at the Brookville Alliance Church on March 27th. Then on April 3rd there will be a hunt at the Hickory Grove Elementary School at 11:00. On April 3rd there will be two hunts, one at the Church of the Nazarene at 11:30 and the other at Mama Doe's restaurant and the Shiloh Resort in Sigel/Cook Forest from 2:00 - 4:00.

Hazen Flea Market Schedule for 2010

Summer's approaching quickly and that means that the Hazen Flea Market, just north of Brookville, PA, will be starting once again for the season. The first market is the weekend of May 1st and 2nd. The flea market opens at dawn and usually goes until just before supper time.

The flea market is located at the grounds of the Warsaw Township Volunteer Fire Department in the middle of Hazen, right on Route 28, six miles north of Brookville, PA. The flea market is held each month from May through October on the weekend of the first Sunday of each month.

May - 1,2
June - 5,6
July - 3,4
August - July 31, August 1
September - 4,5
October - 2,3

For those interested in becoming vendors.... You will need your sales tax info and you can show up on Friday or Saturday morning to set up. Booth spots are $15 per spot per day. Multiple spots are available if needed.

Run or Walk for Someone Special Set for April 11

The ARC of Jefferson County will be holding their annual Run or Walk for Someone Special event to benefit Camp Friendship on April 11th. There will be a 2 mile fun run as well as a 5 mile race. Registration begins at 1:30 PM and the races begin at 3:00 PM at the town hall in Sykesville, PA. Anyone who receives over $20 in donations will receive a commemorative T-shirt. Sponsors of door prizes are also wanted.
